Zombie Strippers (2008)

Judging from the title zombie strippers you would expect the movie to do what it says on the tin. You would be bang on the money but those too focused on the fake funbags on display would miss some of the films many hidden layers  including political comment on the world at war, the conformity of women to stereotypes, and that women in the army need not be ugly.

So back to those funbags then!

So George W Bush wins his 4th term after beating Arnie in the polls and celebrates by banning public nudity. That’s not all his problems. He is still at war with most of the world and his army to stretched to full capacity. The answer is clearly to get some dodgy science types to create a zombie potion and create super soldiers.

After a minor outbreak the army (including some hot chicks!) turn up and take out the zombies but in the cross fire one is bitten and before he knows it he ends up in an illegal underground strip club run by Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger from Nightmare on Elm Street).

A stripper played by porn superstar (or is that mega star?) Jenna Jameson gets bit and turns in to a super stripper albeit missing half her neck and drenched in blood. More strippers get bit and the money starts rolling in and so does the body count increase.

Whilst  this isn’t in any way high brow it is a great laugh and an entertaining watch which is not meant to be taken seriously. For a good double bill I would team it with 80’s low budget scream queen classic, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, and remember the beers.
